Eight of Army’s 11 defensive starters players took all 44 snaps in 14-7 win over Rice.

Linebackers Cole Christiansen, Jeremiah Lowery, Arik Smith and Amadeo West and secondary Javhari Bourdeau, Cameron Jones, Jaylon McClinton and Elijah Riley didn’t leave the field.

Riley, a senior cornerback, made his 30th career start. Christiansen started his 27th straight game. Senior defensive lineman Jacob Covington, senior nose tackle Rod Stoddard, sophomore defensive end Kwabena Bonsu, Lowery and Smith debuted in the starting lineup.
