Senior quarterback Kelvin Hopkins, Junior slotback Artice Hobbs, senior guard Jaxson Deaton, senior tackle Alex Herndon and junior center Peyton Reeder played all 64 offensive snaps in Army’s 14-7 win over Rice.

Hopkins led Army in rushing (80 yards) for the ninth time in his career.

It was tough sledding inside the tackles for Army. The Black Knights were held to three yards or less on 19 of 28 carries inside.

Army’s first pass was called on its 20th play. Mike Roberts was wide open short on an incomplete pass intended for Kjetil Cline.

Sophomore quarterback Jabari Laws made his college debut, lining up as a fullback. Laws rushed for 3 yards on his only snap.
