Cody Bradford called his commitment to Army, “a no-brained.”
Bradford was looking for a school to play high-level football with a top education.
The Flowery Branch (Ga.) offensive lineman found both at West Point. Bradford committed to Army Thursday.
“I loved everything (Army) had to offer especially since I want to be an engineer,” Bradford said. “I wanted to be set for life and most importantly serve our country.”
Bradford announced an offer from Army on Jan. 12. He received a preferred walk-on opportunity at Georgia State. Bradford’s connection with Army offensive coordinator Brent Davis and offensive line coach Saga Tuitele also played a role on his commitment.
“I love coach Davis and coach T (Tuitele) and can’t wait to be coached by them,” Bradford said.
Bradford also has a connection with current Army football players and former Georgia talents Dean Powell, Jackson Powell and Jackson Filipowicz. He is Army’s third Georgia commit this week.
