December 2019 Signing Day

The wait to put pen to paper was finally over for Tampa (Fla.) Catholic offensive lineman David Hoyt Wednesday.

Hoyt, who gave his verbal to Army on March 30, signed his certificate of commitment as a key member of the Black Knights’ 2020 recruiting class. The 6-foot-6, 280-pound tackle was offered by more than 10 schools including Power Five conference teams Louisville and Rutgers.

Jesuit (Tampa, Fla.) teammates Brett Gerena, Raleigh Oxendine and Spencer Williams were among the other Army commit to sign their non-binding commitment. Gerena is following his father’s path to West Point. Joe Gerena played quarterback for Army in 1998-2000.
